Qandala relief programme 2023

These two monthly reports document TSS’s relief work with the World Food Programme under project PUNT-CP/TSS/1141URT-GD/2023. They cover food assistance, cash-based transfers, community awareness, monitoring, coordination and the challenges facing drought-affected households.

The June report describes in-kind assistance across seven villages in Qandala. The July report covers cash-based transfers in Qandala and Buroc. Both original reports are available below, followed by their full field photographs.

Reading the historical records: The June source reports 847 households receiving assistance. The July source lists 676 beneficiaries on its cover and 570 households receiving assistance, while another passage refers to 175 still under review. These figures do not reconcile. The documents also retain references to earlier months. The original wording is preserved; monthly figures should not be added together as a count of unique people or households.
