Who We Are

Al Ta’awun Social Service (TSS) is a non-governmental and nonprofit organization, free from political, clan, religious and ethnic divisions, working for needy communities including youth, women and children in urban and rural areas throughout Puntland, Somalia. TSS strives to create a future where youth are able to facilitate their own development.

Water and sanitation

TSS rehabilitates boreholes, digs shallow wells and builds water tanks to improve access to clean water in Qandala district and other underserved areas.

Food Security

TSS delivers food-for-assets and emergency food assistance with WFP, helping communities in Qandala district build productive assets while meeting immediate food needs.

Education

TSS works to expand access to schooling and skills training for children and youth across urban and rural Puntland.

Health

TSS supports basic health and hygiene access for vulnerable families, alongside its water and sanitation work.

Women empowerment

TSS builds women's livelihoods and job-creation skills, and works to increase women's voice in community decision-making.

Disaster relief

TSS responds to drought and displacement with food-for-assets support, emergency assessments and stabilization work in affected communities.
