About us
Our History
Al Ta’awun Social Services (TSS), is a non-governmental and nonprofit organization, free from political, clans, religion and ethnic divisions. We work for the needy and vulnerable members of the community including youth, women children in urban and rural areas in Somalia. We thus aspire to facilitate the full participation of Somali people to improve their quality of life and promote equal rights and dignity thereby building into the dream of a prosperous Somali society for all.
At TSS, intervening on the support of the poor communities is at the center of our initiatives. We offer humanitarian and social development programmes to poor communities in Somalia and provide technical, educational and material assistance to them.

Integrity
We operate free from political, clan, and religious bias, and hold ourselves accountable to the people we serve. Every team member follows a clear code of conduct, because trust has to be earned every day.
Safety
We put life before property, staff before schedules. Every program is guided by a "do no harm" principle — we won't take risks with the safety of our team or the communities we work alongside.
Our Goal
To facilitate a range of community based activities which expand the livelihood opportunities and promote the social inclusion of vulnerable and marginalized groups in the community.
