Relief assistance in Qandala

TSS’s 2022 Relief Project Report records a relief project implemented in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP), providing food and cash/voucher assistance in Qandala District. The report states that planned activities were completed by 31 December 2022.

The programme used community mobilization and registration, with village committees, elders, women leaders and local authorities contributing to outreach. Communities received information on entitlements, distribution procedures and TSS complaints mechanisms.

The report also acknowledges continuing needs: household sustainability was only partially achieved, and recurrent drought, displacement and economic pressures remained challenges. This is a historical project example, not a claim about current coverage.
