\u00a0 \u00a0 Introduction<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Al-Ta\u2019awun Social Services (TSS) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to humanitarian and development work. Headquartered in Mogadishu, TSS operates through sub-offices across South Central Somalia. Established in December 2000, the organization has been delivering vital humanitarian aid, relief efforts, and development programs for over two decades. TSS is recognized as one of the largest and most active NGOs in Somalia, with a strong presence in South Central Somalia, Puntland, and Galmudug.<\/p>\r\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Background <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\r\n

In response to the current difficult situations that Somali society are facing including drought, civil war, piracy and lack of\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0governmental institutions (such as: health centers, schools, roads) in Somalia for more than twenty years. We felt that it is vitally\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0important to set up a charitable relief organization to help those in need in the rural and urban areas mostly in the society for\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0essential services. TSS encourages and strengthens collective social, economic, cultural, and environmental, peace and\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0technological initiatives developed by youth themselves. TSS strives to remove obstacles to youth empowerment so that they have\u00a0 \u00a0sustainable livelihoods and successful living standards.<\/p>\r\n

TSS an all youth inclusive organization, is based in the centre of the largest youth community and is entirely staffed by youth\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0members, aiming to assist marginalized and disenfranchised Communities to help them create and sustain income generating, lead ahealthy life.<\/p>\r\n

Guided by integrity, compassion, and local partnership, we strive to create lasting change by empowering individuals and strengthening institutions across Somalia.<\/p>\r\n
