In early 2020, following a devastating drought and famine in Qandala, a fact-finding team from TSS (AlTa’awun Social Services) went to Qandala and undertook an assessment of the situation of vulnerable communities. Together with, community committees and local authorities, TSS registered all vulnerable people in Qandala and undertook all necessary steps towards reaching a hand to affected communities. Based on our report, WFP, through TSS, made a considerable effort towards delivering unconditional emergency food supplies.
Coverage: 669 households received aid under close monitoring and administration of TSS staff who had received training adequate for them to ensure a smooth and secure process.
