Introduction

Al Ta’awun Social Society (TSS), is a non-governmental and nonprofit organization, free from political, clans, religion and ethnic  divisions, works                 for needy communities including youth, women children in urban and rural areas throughout Puntland Somalia.

TSS strives to create a future where youth are able to facilitate their own development.

Ta’awun Social Service (TSS) offers humanitarian and social development programmes to poor communities in Puntland. The organization provides             technical, educational and material assistance to poor communities. It was established in 2010 by group of  intellectuals.

    Motto: Enhancing  community trough professionalism, changing wrong attitude  with neutral stance.

          We aspire to full participation of Somali people improve in their quality of life and give equal rights and dignity to the whole    community. We aim to               make the dream of prosperous Somali society into righteous

     Background

In response to the current difficult situations that Somali society are facing including drought, civil war, piracy and lack of     governmental institutions (such as: health centers, schools, roads) in Somalia for more than twenty years. We felt that it is vitally     important to set up a charitable relief organization to help those in need in the rural and urban areas mostly in the society for     essential services. TSS encourages and strengthens collective social, economic, cultural, and environmental, peace and     technological initiatives developed by youth themselves. TSS strives to remove obstacles to youth empowerment so that they have   sustainable livelihoods and successful living standards.

TSS an all youth inclusive organization, is based in the centre of the largest youth community and is entirely staffed by youth     members, aiming to assist marginalized and disenfranchised Communities to help them create and sustain income generating, lead ahealthy life.

Strengthening the capacity of the poor and marginalized Somali families and Communities in all sectors; Educational development, environmental rehabilitation, health care services and promoting social mobilization and campaigns for enhanced equity in access and uptake of the essential services

The goal of TSS is to initiate programs and activities that will positively involve, influence and benefits of the general society               for a    better society now, and in the future
